Your role within the PP&C team:

You will report directly to the Head of Planning & Control and work closely together with various interfaces and departments e.g., commercial, program, MRO, engineering, procurement and production.

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced production planner who applies Lilium's revolutionary product & business model into the development of a modern and people-focused aircraft assembly factory.

Your role is fundamental in managing a highly flexible prototyping facility on the way towards a high-volume production in accordance with the quality standards of EASA 21G and EN9100.

You will be part of a team that conducts tactical and strategic production planning and develops processes & digital technology solutions to enable best-in-class production operations within Lilium, defined by 3 key tasks:
(1) Create and maintain the tactical and strategic plans in collaboration with Lilium's commercial, program, MRO and engineering teams

(2) Manage our digital planning & scheduling solution and oversee new system implementation, customization and maintenance

(3) Define and improve business processes in accordance with production requirements


Your tasks:


You will:

  • Develop, own, and refine the strategic production and procurement plan across all functions and communicate to relevant stakeholders.
  • Derive the tactical production and procurement plan from the strategic plan and gather all relevant technical information for capacity feasibility analysis.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders the timely submission of input data for the forecast, such as workload and lead time estimations
  • Ensure availability of resources (e.g., labour, equipment, facilities), identify bottlenecks and make recommendations for resource allocation and capacity enhancement.
  • Conduct forward and backward planning to create a feasible production plan and ensure availability of key enabler for production (design data, parts, documentation, etc).
  • Work with ERP and APS tools to ensure the integrity of data for todays and future IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs relating to process, product and operational performance.
  • Evaluate production statistics, their impact to the schedules and report major deviations.
  • Shape the future of the Lilium Production Planning & Control setup on the way to highvolume production.

Your profile:

Business Experience / Skills

  • Successfully completed degree in management, (industrial) engineering or equivalent field.
  • Expertise in demand and capacity planning
  • Background in manufacturing incl. dynamic planning & scheduling during prototyping and series rampup.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in respective field.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Willingness to take ownership and to transfer improvement ideas into reality.
  • Team player with analytic problemsolving skills and a high customer focus.
