The Role


Formo is looking for an experienced and passionate leader to manage our bioprocessing teams and provide effective guidance and leadership.

As a team leader, you will be the point of contact for all of our bioprocessing engineers, acting proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration within our bioprocessing sphere and to other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:


  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open & honest communication and feedback culture, as well as a strong sense of team identity
  • Manage the direction and vision of our team to develop and nurture company efforts aimed at translating experimental insights generated in laboratories into business outcomes
  • Set clear team goals, and then motivate and support our bioprocessing experts to achieve them
  • Develop reward systems for productivity that motivate our bioprocessing teams, to help recognize high performance and reward those accomplishments
  • Oversee daytoday operations, team performance and report on metrics
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching for your team to continuously drive and develop
  • Communicate any issues directly to our Clevel, to reach business goals effectively
  • Listen to teams feedback or concerns and resolve any issues or conflicts which may occur
  • Encourage creativity and risktaking, so our team can go above and beyond
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Doctoral degree OR masters degree in food science, engineering, biotechnology, medicine, chemistry, physics, microbiology or other relevant field
  • Several years of leadership experience or in people focused role as well as relevant industry experience
  • Great leadership abilities, such as strong communication, problemsolving, decisionmaking, organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Interpersonal qualities, such as compassion, transparency, honesty and integrity and a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Indepth knowledge of performance metrics
  • Technical knowledge or expertise in fermentation processes and recombinant protein production systems is a plus
  • Ability to navigate in a high ambiguous and fastpaced environment
  • Fluent in English. German is a plus
