We, Beyond Fossil Fuels (BFF), are an alliance of passionate civil society groups committed to transforming the European energy sector.

We strive for a just transition to a fossil-free, fully renewables-based energy system that protects people, nature, and our planet.

As an independent campaign, we are driven by a fierce dedication to ending our reliance on coal by 2030 and fossil gas by 2035 with a focus on the power sector.

With your help, we can create a brighter, cleaner, and more equitable future for all.

This campaign is supported by a BFF secretariat, consisting of 25 people and spread across Europe.


As our
Finance & Office management support, you will be responsible for:

Financial management:

  • Paying invoices, including expense claims, after checking receipts and proofs
  • Stamping and filing invoices
  • Encoding the analytical breakdown of invoices into the accounting software (Winbooks)
  • Sorting and sending invoices to our host organisation in Brussels
  • Miscellaneous finance tasks, like providing data from the accounting software on request
  • Cash flow management
  • Checking procurement forms and contracts

Office management:

  • Ordering supplies, liaising with landlords, phone and utility companies, and organisíng office cleaning and repairs as needed
  • Welcoming guests, receiving deliveries at the office.

Required skills & experience

  • Fluent in English and German
  • Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail
  • At least three years experience in bookkeeping and financial management
  • Good understanding of civil society organisations and the nonprofit sector
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to engage and connect with broad range of people and work as part of a multicultural team
  • Ability to proritise
  • Commitment to a healthy, environmentallyfriendly and fair society
  • Knowledge of doubleentry accounting software
  • You are passionate about promoting a healthy, environmentallyfriendly, and fair society.
