HEAD OF FINANCE & CONTROLLING CENTRAL EUROPE:

    YOUR MISSION:


The Area Head of Finance & Controlling is responsible for all financial management aspects of Area operations, providing strong financial expertise, leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company.

Leadership and guidance within the entire team is vital. Appointed Compliance Officer for the Area.

Scope of responsibility (Mission)

  • Finance expertise:
  • Ensure professional and competent Finance/Controlling expertise and consultancy to business and area leadership team on finance/ controlling related matters.
  • Ensure timely preparation and development of relevant business & financial information for area and regional management
  • Own preparation and presentation of the annual budgeting for the Area together with the Area GM and in line with global guidelines
  • Oversee preparation of monthend, quarterend and yearend financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Global Procedures, Standards, and timelines.
  • Prepare and conduct monthly financial review meeting with regional management team.
  • Analyze P&L, identifying weaknesses, potential costs savings and synergies areas and prepare relevant KPIs to support the Area GM and Regional CFO.
  • Analyze business with focus on working capital and develop plan to optimize free cash flow.
  • Perform diverse regular and adhoc analysis on budget and forecasts in various dimensions.
  • Proactively evaluate organizational performance against both budget and forecast.
  • Share insights and recommendations to the GM and CFO Europe.
  • Actively participate in key decisions related to strategic initiatives, operating model and develop strategies to minimize financial risks and losses
  • Finance tools, processes, systems:
  • Train and educate the team, peers and colleagues on internal finance tools, processes and systems ensuring data accuracy and completion.
  • Ensure the maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
  • People Leadership:
  • Lead and develop entrusted team in a way that ensures that they are skilled and equipped with necessary knowledge, skills, experience and tools to do current and future roles at their best.
  • Cultivate and drive Talent development through (pro) active learning and development activities, individuals' career progression, work on building strong succession talent pipeline.
  • Encourage continuous learning among team members
  • Together with the Area leadership team actively contribute in cultivating/maintaining "best place to work" working environment
  • Cooperation with other teams:
  • Cooperate closely with Area leadership team to foster high business performance
  • Work closely with shared services teams ( accounting, IT, etc), to ensure accurate and effective problem solving and service delivery.
  • Maintain productive cooperation with Global/ Regional teams
  • Compliance
  • Responsible for review and undertaking necessary activities/investigations in case of any internal/external compliance cases
  • Other activities and projects; actively contribute in other activities and projects which may occur due to evolving of business in general and/or due to new/ ongoing PUMA's internal Finance/ controlling initiatives

YOUR TALENT:


  • Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting combined with 5 years of experience in a seniorlevel finance or accounting position
  • IFRS and IFAS knowledge
  • Working experience with SAP and Hyperion
