Job Purpose/Role

The team assumes responsibility for ESG integration into Allianz reinsurance business including regulatory requirements, sustainability reporting and ratings, corporate citizenship activities and environmental management.

It defines and steers ESG activities at Allianz Reinsurance.

The team works with a variety of internal but also external stakeholders especially with regards to supporting Allianz' commitment to piloting innovative insurance solutions with a view to closing the protection gap.

You will be part of a small and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

You will work in a diverse and challenging environment, which allows active involvement with increasing responsibilities in a small team.

Your main focus will be to support the ESG integration at Allianz Reinsurance and assist the organization of lighthouse initiatives such as the annual Allianz Climate Risk Research Award as well as the Cat Round Table
You will coordinate the online presence of the Solutions & ESG team internally and externally
You will support and consolidate the data collection for ESG related reporting (e.g. Sustainability Report of Allianz Group or Dow Jones Sustainability Index), also including environmental KPIs and corporate citizenship activities
You will contribute to piloting new solutions for enhancing financial resilience to natural disasters in lowincome countries
Typical tasks include:
Support the preparation, logistics and agenda creation of the annual Allianz Nat Cat Round Table
Support the reporting cycle and environmental management data gathering
Keep employee engagement offering of activities uptodate and promote with internal communication activities
General project support
Knowledge management e.g. in the area of ESG / sustainability for reinsurance including the development of content for Connect (Allianz Intranet) and external websites (e.g. LinkedIn)

Key Requirements

Qualification:

Studies in the area of Sustainability, Economics, Law, Politics or Geography/Meteorology (at least 3 semesters).
Academic interest in climate change science, disaster risks, sustainability and/or development economics.
Fluent in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of German, French and/or additional languages is an additional asset. Experience in working with presentations in Power Point and content creation is essential
First experience with Office 365 is a must. Coding experience (e.g. python) an additional asset.

Experiences:

First experiences through internships in the areas of sustainability, project management, finance, insurance, multilateral development banks or institutions and/or consultancy/policy work in the areas of climate risks desired.
Experience with event organization and excellent analytical skills are desired
