HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER - Germany (M/F/d)


Job Summary:
The postholder will be required to make regular visits to our office in Munich, or could be fully office-based.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the talent acquisition process for their area of responsibility, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding qualified job applicants. Work with hiring managers to review and update new requirements, ensuring skills & competencies are understood and appropriate for future business needs, and with IT team to ensure new employees are provided with suitable equipment & systems access to perform their role. Conduct background checks or referencing as needed, appropriate to country & Mitratech requirements.
  • Manage incountry payroll and benefits, working with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely process is followed always.
  • Become a trusted advisor to the HR management team on matters of employee relations, performance management and employee engagement across their area of responsibility.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of applicable local and national employment & immigration laws & regulations, and best practice. Regularly review and advise HR Manager team where updates to local policies and employee handbooks are required, to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Analyse trends in local pay & benefits and propose improvements to ensure Mitratech is positioned to attract & retain the best talent.
  • Provide guidance & support to managers on performance improvement, disciplinary matters and potential terminations.
  • Regularly review & act on engagement survey feedback for their area of responsibility, working with managers on action plans & local initiatives.
  • Work with the Training team to create and implement L & D programs supporting development opportunities for employees.
  • Work with members of the wider HR team on projects to improve effectiveness of our HR processes & systems, and implementation of organizationwide initiatives, such as recognition and wellness programmes.
  • Manage the daytoday requirements of any Mitratech premises within their area of responsibility, including, but not limited to, assignment of access passes, management of facilities contractor agreements, onsite provisions, landlord relationship, and where appropriate, closure, dilapidations & exit plans.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English and German languages are prerequisites for this role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of German employmentrelated laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organisation's HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or appropriate related field required.
  • A minimum of three years of human resource management experience, including management of payroll & benefits. Previous experience of Sage for payroll would be an advantage.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Human Resource management preferred.
