Your role:

As a highly skilled and experienced Head of Site Pharmaceutical Technology, you and your team play a critical role in driving innovation, optimizing processes, and ensuring the highest standard of quality and compliance for our pharmaceutical products.

Identifies and resolves highly complex manufacturing problems at the pharma manufacturing site Darmstadt.

Provides expertise, strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure the successful life cycle management, implementation and process optimization of pharmaceutical products.

Responsible for creation of process control strategies (PCS) and continued process verifications (CPV) for pharmaceutical products. Drives projects as project leader that will improve the robustness of manufacturing processes.

Anticipates manufacturing problems, business challenges and regulatory issues and drives processes and product improvements to mitigate risks and to create competitive advantages.

Responsible for supplier qualifications as a cross-functional team leader for pharmaceutical products. Delivers and improves quality metrics. Develops and manages budget, resources, and talents to meet business objectives.

Consults managers and other experts at the pharma manufacturing site Darmstadt and at other interfaces and contributes to determining technical direction.

Manages interfaces to global partners. Leads, mentors and develops a team of Site Process Leads for our pharmaceutical products.


Who you are:


  • You have a Master degree (or equivalent) in engineering, life sciences or pharmacy that provides knowledge of theories, principles and concepts within the discipline
  • You have extensive professional experience of 49 years in a similar role
  • You have strong leadership and management abilities, with a focus on talent development and team building
  • You have indepth knowledge of project management, process optimization, product development, GMP and statistics
  • You have an excellent track record in problemsolving, analytical, and decisionmaking skills
  • You have demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional teams, collaborate effectively and drive results in a matrix organization
  • You have an effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders You have strong oral and written communication skills in English and German
