We are looking for a Director, Data Science - Global Discovery - Recommendation (all genders) to join the Recommendation team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

You will form the strategy of our recommendations domain consisting of several squads

Your mission:

Lead and empower experienced teams of data scientists and machine learning engineers, focused on building innovative customerfacing solutions
Develop and continuously improve data science systems and pipelines in our global cloud platform
Collaborate closely with global business teams and align solutions across worldwide markets with business and product stakeholders
Design and implement cuttingedge insights and customerfacing services
Work with structured and semistructured data from different data sources (Big Query, PostgreSQL, and many more).
Improve developer productivity and collaboration within your engineering squads and with your Data Science stakeholders.
Ensure continued service reliability and 24/7 provide technical support for global services

Your heroic skills:

Several years of handson technical leadership and at least 2 years of experience in managing managers
A strong data science and/or engineering background and able to evaluate complex technical decisions.
Excellent knowledge and Handson modeling experience in data science and machine learning
A completed technical degree in Computer Science or any related field.
