Job Description Summary

The Research Specialist A will be involved in tissue acquisition and processing of patient samples.

Other duties include maintaining cell lines, primary cell culturing, performing flow staining, working with mouse models (i.v, i.p, s.c injection, tissue harvesting), keeping inventory and ordering supplies as needed.


Job Description:


A researcher with a knowledge in tumor immunology is sought to be involved in investigating the role of the inflammatory myeloid cells in the tumor microenvironment and the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which tumor modulates their immune functions in cancer patients and tumor-bearing mice.

The research specialist is expected to participate in and perform experiments, data analysis and data presentation. He/She will explore the approaches how to direct the tumor-associated myeloid cells towards anti-tumor effector cells to improve the current anti-tumor antibody-based immunotherapy

The Research Specialist A will be involved in tissue acquisition and processing of patient samples.

Other duties include maintaining cell lines, primary cell culturing, performing flow staining, working with mouse models (i.v, i.p, s.c injection, tissue harvesting), keeping inventory and ordering supplies as needed.


The Research Specialist B in addition to the aforementioned responsibilities will be involved in more complex experiments including ELISA, DNA and RNA isolation, Multiplex (Luminex), acquisition and analysis flow cytometry data and interacting with lab safety organizations and monitoring safety and regulatory aspects.


Qualifications:


Research Specialist A - Bachelor's degree and 0-1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.


Research Specialist B - Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Position contingent upon funding.
