JOB SUMMARY


Digital currencies (including cryptocurrencies, virtual currencies, central bank digital currencies and more) represent the potential to truly digitise cash management.

Digital currency (over centralised or distributed databases or stored-value forms) will become the lubricant of the new economy.

Looking for a competent, self-driven product associate to join the Digital Currencies product team who is passionate about the potential for Digital Currencies to disrupt and innovate payments.

An individual who has proven experience of involvement in Blockchain and Digital currencies use cases, proof of concepts and product management and who enjoys researching, communicating and educating on Digital currency topics.

You would be joining a team at the forefront of our efforts to digitize cash e2e for the new economy and you will help to drive the "next" for Cash Management.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

  • Contributing to the Digital currencies strategy, roadmap and operating plan
  • Researching potential digital currency and sustainability use cases leveraging blockchain technology, crypto, eFiat, tokens, coins, purpose coins and other digital assets.

Business

  • Supporting the Digital currencies team on executing the digital currencies strategy and operating plan in the region/ country
  • Helping to evaluate and prioritize new product and services opportunities and develop a business case for them
  • Working with the Digital Currencies team and wider product teams to develop prioritized opportunities from concept through to the execution of a proof of concept
  • Supporting the Digital Currencies Product Manager, Product Development and technical teams on the delivery of Digital Currencies projects
  • Supporting the Digital Currencies Product Manager on the commercialization of Digital Currencies initiatives
  • Joining client meetings to discuss cocreation opportunities for Digital Currency use cases
  • Researching and joining meetings with potential partners to discuss Digital Currency collaboration opportunities
  • Monitoring the constantly changing and fast moving world of Digital currencies and providing updates to the Cash team with the latest news, whitepapers etc.
  • Providing education sessions on blockchain and digital currencies to the wider global cash team to upskill digital currencies knowledge within the bank
  • Leading the coordination of regular newsletters on digital currency news regarding what is happening in the market and what the bank is doing
  • Developing and maintaining an internal web page and information depository on Digital Currencies
  • Contributing and helping to coordinate thought leadership whitepapers on Digital Currency topics.
  • Organising internal events and participating in external events on Digital Currencies

Processes

  • Works with the team to analysis new revenue streams with meaningful returns over the long term
  • Contributes to product build, from reduction of unit cost of product to optimization of launch/gotomarket cost for products.
  • Contributes to process design work with Operations, Technology and other function partners with the aim of translating process optimization to bottom line cost control with a high degree of reliability.

Risk Management

  • Adherence to all Group Policies and relevant legislation covering credit, operational, reputational risk among others, as well as local country requirements.

  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's and regional/country arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group and region/country operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
