You will be leading and building our ESG team advising clients throughout the diligence lifecycle on key ESG drivers to increase value and reduce the risks and uncertainty inherent in transactions and from the operational perspective.
We are looking for senior professionals with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and/or Sustainability experience to join our successful team and build on our sustainability offerings.
Within this highly regarded PEPI team, an opportunity exists for aManaging / Senior Director (M/F/d)
in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy or Germany.
Your key responsibilities:
You will provide ESG/Sustainability and project management expertise to deliver ESG due diligence and value creation projects for our private equity clients, including identifying, measuring, and reporting on ESG topics most likely to impact the near and long-term value of our client's targets and existing businesses.
You will assist in new business origination and support the continuous development of our ESG practices, working closely with our network of sustainability specialists and integrating with our operational improvement specialists.

- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience of delivering highquality reports and presentations

- Ability to think strategically and to identify, develop and implement practical solutions
- Exceptional team player
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Deep understanding of ESG/Sustainability issues and relevant tools and frameworks
- Strong analytical ability to link ESG and operational analysis to financial statements and financial performance, identify sustainabilitylinked value creation opportunities, and to understand the implications for client strategy and asset valuation
Ideally, you'll also have:
We are looking for individuals from varied backgrounds, but having many of the experiences below would be advantageous:
- A good understanding of how investors and analysts review and use ESG information to inform decision making
- Working knowledge of legislation being put in place or considered by government/governing bodies
- Exposure to corporate reporting and/or regulatory reporting on ESG issues
- Transaction and operational experience on complex engagements
- Have conducted assessments and delivered change in business operations that have delivered improvement in the ESG standing of businesses, for instance:
- ESG materiality and maturity assessments;
- Climate risk assessments;
- Carbon footprint measurement and decarbonisation strategies;
- Circular economy solutions and product lifecycle assessments;
- Health and safety assessments of environmental and ecological impacts of business operations;
- Supply chain risks and potential mitigations;
- Offset investment strategies and / or
- Design and implementation of ESG governance, policies and reporting.
- Professional services / consulting experience: from a management consultancy, corporate finance firm or as an 'internal consultant' in a corporate environment
- Relevant languages, academic and professional qualifications
