Venture Team
Our venture team OpteinicsTM is developing the leading environmental footprinting software for the food industry.

We are a purpose-driven start-up with a mission to empower everyone in the food industry to make food more sustainable.

Our customers are already able to calculate, report and reduce the environmental impact of their products in a credible and certified software system.

Commercialized as Software as a Service (SaaS) and with an early-stage venture team, we want to push the product and team to the next level.

We are looking for a full-time intern in LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) to join us for six months (possible extension/full time employee).

You will work with an ambitious founding team that is building a scalable, high-growth digital venture which will shape the future of food environmental sustainability.

Your Role

Conduct data analyses to assess the environmental footprint of production processes
Perform LCAs
Work closely with customers to gather data required to conduct the assessments
Communicate to customers about the assessment process and outcome
Write reports to support the certification of the LCA models

Your Offer

Bachelors/Masters in the field of Environmental Science, Energy/Resource/Product Management, Economic Engineering, Life Cycle Assessment/Sustainability or comparable
Knowledge of working with complex data and database systems
Working knowledge with LCA and Carbon Footprint principles and related standards
Option to work remote but willingness to come to our office in Mannheim once or twice a week at the beginning
Fluency in English both, verbal and written
