POLITICO is looking for a politics news reporter to join our Berlin newsroom.

Working with a team of reporters and a news editor, you will cover German politics for an international audience.

We are seeking an English-language news reporter — with a strong knowledge of Germany, its political system and recent history — who is able to deliver on deadline on breaking news as well as write occasional feature stories.

POLITICO prides itself on producing distinctive, addictive journalism that gets both Berlin and those watching Germany from elsewhere talking. We drive conversations that matter and do so in ways that surprise and entertain our readers.

What You'll Do

Pitch, report and write stories for POLITICO, with a focus on daily news while also contributing occasional analyses and features.
Cover the internal politics of one of Europe's powerhouses, framing stories for an engaged international audience.
Collaborate with reporters in various capitals to deliver broader stories on European politics.

What You'll Need

Nativelevel Englishlanguage writing skills and fluent German
35 years of newsroom experience
Proven ability to deliver under pressure and on deadline
Willingness to work somewhat flexibly
Familiarity with Germany as well as the EU's institutional framework
