Your tasks

  • Planning and execution of research projects at the interface of immunology, cardiovascular biology and metabolism
  • Investigating interorgan crosstalk between heart, lymphoid organs and adipose tissue
  • Establishing workflows and readout assays to elucidate energy metabolism and autophagy in immune cells
  • Establishing workflows and readout assays for immune cell phenotyping
  • Cardiac and metabolic characterization of preclinical disease models
  • Analysis and interpretation of research data
  • Publication and presentation of research results

Profile:


  • PhD in cardiovascular biology, immunology, metabolism, molecular biology or related field
  • Theoretical and practical expertise in cardiovascular research, immunology, metabolism
  • Profound knowledge in health science, molecular biomedicine, cardiovascular disease
  • Handson experience with a wide range of immunology, molecular and biochemical techniques including flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, cell culture, gene silencing and overexpression methodology, metabolic analysis
  • Interest in and willingness to perform mouse handling, breeding and experimentation
  • Willingness to work in an international and interdisciplinary research team
  • High motivation, flexibility, ability to think independently on experimental design and troubleshooting, as well as innovative and creative thinking are a must
  • A strong academic record documented by firstauthor publications in highranking journals, profound international research experience, experience in grant writing as well as proficiency in English are required
