About the Opportunity

Job Type:
Fixed Term Contractor

Contract duration : 8 months.

Application Deadline: 28 April 2023

Who we are

We've been helping clients plan and invest for their futures for over 50 years.

From more than 25 locations around the world, we provide investment services and retirement expertise to everyone from central banks to private individuals.

We're known for acting with integrity and thinking for the long-term.

And across our organisation, we foster a welcoming, caring and inclusive culture where people feel respected, trusted and able to be themselves.

Fidelity ́s commitment to ESG is a key enabler for our daily business.

The team you'll join

As an integral member of the European real estate team you will be working together with the German real estate asset management and ESG team in order to support the ongoing activities in the German real estate market.

The team has invested in offices, logistic properties, light industrial estates and DIY retail-warehouses over recent years across Europe.

What you'll be doing

You will support the team as a working student (M/F/d) for at least 5-6 months in the scope of countinously 20 hours/week in the investment management at the property and fund level in Germany and other European countries.

You will actively support our real estate team in Kronberg, gaining an insight into the day-to-day work of our ESG and asset management in Germany and acquiring in-depth knowledge of the structures and processes in the real estate sector, particularly in the area of developing customized service structures for everything to do with real estate.

During your time with us, you will learn how to:

  • Assist in preparation of detailed financial models, client presentation and reportings
  • Research on market sectors and underlying properties
  • Support the target
- and result-oriented analysis of the relevant customer potential of the served markets, tenants, industries and trend topics for the further development of the customer relationship

  • Support the implementation of our sustainability strategy in various business areas
  • Be involved in sustainability projects and the creation of a knowledge and data management system
  • Prepare presentations and conduct research on sustainabilityrelated market developments, regulatory proposals and trends
How you'll be supported

We don't expect you to come straight in and know everything about what we do.

As a working student, and whatever you've studied, we'll help make sure you get the most out of your time with us.

You'll start with a mini induction during which we'll introduce you to the asset management industry and our business. After that, there are many more ways to develop your skills as your progresses. Social and networking events will help you get to know our people and culture. All the while you'll be learning on the job, working to clear goals and understanding your own potential.

The difference you'll make:
As your skills and confidence grow, you'll become more and more involved in making key decisions for our customers. You'll help them invest and plan for the futures they want. You'll provide invaluable support to your team, too.

What we're looking for

It's who you are that matters here, rather than what you studied.

We look for working students who are curious about real estate markets and their fundamentals, have commercial and technical orientation, are compassionate, eager to learn and ready to get stuck in.

The work you will be doing requires deduction, attention to detail and technical skills.

You will be able to support the team based on your numerical and analytical skills as well as to communicate your findings.

And, as we're an international organisation, we'll need you to speak English and German.

How to apply

As part of our commitment to inclusion, we are a disability-friendly company.

As such, we would welcome a conversation with you if you feel you might benefit from any reasonable adjustments to perform to the best of your ability during the recruitment process and beyond.
