Constructor University (formerly Jacobs University Bremen gGmbH)

is a private, state-accredited, English-language research university in Bremen.

We are offering PreDegree, Bachelor, Master or PhD programs in three schools:

School of Science, School of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Business, Social & Decision Sciences and are involved in the professional development of specialists and managers and in the transfer of knowledge.

The department "Provost ́s Office" is supporting the Provost in leading the academic mission of the university and overseeing its research and education activities.


Your responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the effective organization and functioning of the Provost's Office
  • Provide to the Provost assessments, documentation, and presentations on academic matters
  • Secure pertinent information and perform research to inform highlevel decision making
  • Support of recurring initiatives and events within the Provost ́s remit
  • Manage coordination of working groups for crossschool projects and with external members
  • Contribute to strategic projects in relation to university rankings, research networks, and new initiatives, institutes, or centers, including the Institute for Advanced Studies
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including the Deans, President ́s Office, the Deans ́ Office, the Strategy Unit, and Laboratory Services
  • Act as an internal and external contact person on overarching academic matters
  • Representation at external events

Your qualifications:


  • Higher education degree, ideally PhD degree
  • Firstrate analytical and project coordination skills
  • Experience with complex projects under involvement of different stakeholder groups
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to deal sensitively with people and information
  • Knowledge of the higher education sector
  • Experience in prioritizing and balancing multiple agendas
  • Propensity to work with little direct supervision
  • Fluent in English and German
