WHAT YOU'LL DO:


As a trusted HR business partner, the HR Senior Director (HRSD) serves as a strategic partner and primary point of contact for our Global Practice Area Leaders, our Global Practice Management Senior/Executive Directors, other Practice Executive Directors, GSB Business and Function Leaders.


The HRSD is responsible for designing and operationalizing customer-centric plans and programs that support a "best place to work environment" and maximizes employee engagement.


The role facilitates organizational change:
assessing, developing and enabling the necessary organizational programs to align with business/practice/function strategy and objectives. Helping to set the practices up for success and prepare for changing customer demands.


In this true business partnering role, the HR Senior Director provides globally consistent solutions to each of the practices and businesses in partnership with regional HR experts and ensures a smooth interaction with the Global Specialty Businesses' HR centers of expertise - Onboarding, Compensation, Career Development, Learning, People Analytics and Talent Acquisition.


YOU'RE GOOD AT:


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leads key projects to further enhance PA M&O career experience, setup and EVP
  • Translates business requirements into HR requirements (compensation, team buildup, pyramid structure, career frameworks, learning journeys, etc.)
  • Helps the businesses/practices to adjust to changing environment through the transformation of their operating models. Leads projects to guide and direct organizational design, development and change management. Aligns projects with overall BCG business environment.
  • Understands business and practice goals and market trends and leverages this insight to recommend and influence new approaches, policies, instruments and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR
  • Coaches senior leaders on complex leadership and HR issues including development and talent performance and issues which could have the potential to create a competitive advantage for the business
  • With PA leadership and Finance has a seat at the table during annual workforce planning and advises on level and location. Translates cross PA needs into talent acquisition strategy
  • Acts as interface between PMT CoEs, regions and business to ensure consistent service
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition teams for all recruiting processes and activities for each of the practices. Drives projects as needed to get best talent on board
  • Liaises with Career Development to help managers prepare for and follow up after Career Development (CD) meetings, act as a counterpart for CD committee chairs, monitor CD processes that impact the practices and businesses, and aid leadership in people portfolio management
  • Acts as an active CDC member on the PA M&O Committees
  • Works with Learning to ensure proper learning curriculum for each business
  • In close cooperation with Global Compensation enables a smooth yearend salary processes and ensures that compensation is aligned with local markets and benchmarked regularly
  • Liaises with CD and Global compensation on bonus roster auditing and pool funding
  • Monitors overall morale and affiliation. Translate PEOPLE survey results into action plans aligned with PA leadership
  • Delivers HR KPIs for business and proposes action
  • Leads PMO responsible for change and communication (Workday, People survey, new businesses, new frameworks)
  • Plays a crucial role in driving and delivering the overall GSB PMT LT Leadership Team agenda by getting the team organized and driving accountability ("Chief of Staff"like role for PMT Leadership Team)
  • Drives and participates in global projects that benefit the entire Global Specialty Businesses People Management Team

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS):


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organization Development or other related field is required; advanced degree preferred
  • 14+ years of progressive experience in a global and matrixed environment, providing guidance and influence to Senior level/Executive leadership team members
  • Deep understanding of Practices, their business and operating model
  • Strong interest in performance management, talent development, employee relations and compensation management
  • Experience in transformation projects
  • Autonomous, ability to manage ambiguity, selfpaced
  • Ability to effectively manage communication and influence a diverse group of senior stakeholders
  • Active team player with strong organizational, analytical and project management skills
  • Strong, proven change management skills and resultsoriented approach
  • Excellent communication skills and poise; cross cultural understanding, fluent in English
  • Travel to BCG offices with PA M&O presence will be required (estimated at <10%)
