Quality Specialist Automotive Adhesives and Fluids


The Quality Specialist provides expertise and continuous improvement for Quality Systems Architecture (Assure Product Quality, Certified Product Quality, Produce Product Quality) through managing cross functional workstreams to assure internal quality and customer needs are met.

The Quality Specialist implements Quality Management System best practices, uses strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve systems architecture and improve internal "Cost of Quality" performance.

Applies knowledge of QMS, product/process design, continuous improvement, quantitative methods/tools for new product/raw material introductions to deliver capable Architecture in QMS Systems, such as SAP and LIMS.


The responsibilities of this role are:

  • The Quality Architect Specialist is responsible for interfacing with multiple functions including Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Site Quality Support, R&D, TS&D, Analytical, Production, internal partners (including regulatory), and customers to lead multi-disciplinary change/improvement teams/workflows.
  • The Quality Architect Specialist is responsible for driving quality architecture management system changes/improvement within SAP/LIMS/Workflows based on business workflow optimization changes and customer needs.
  • Takes a systematic approach to problem solving by looking beneath the surface to identify root causes and recognizes the need to escalate problems due to awareness of the potential impact and sensitivity to the business and/or function.
  • Proactively suggest and design changes to the production process to achieve increased accuracy, efficiencies and controls.
  • Validation of the data information, system and business requirements, testing, and implementation of system improvement projects to ensure completeness of the implementation.
  • Implement improvement SAP QMS improvement actions as a result of improvement or corrective and preventive action projects.
  • Establish SAP QM Business procedures and workflows to anticipate quality failure modes and prevent quality incidents (RCI, Risk Assessments, FMEA).
  • Perform Regular Data Analysis on SAP QMS Performance.
  • Conduct training of internal resources requiring knowledge of quality systems architecture SAP/LIMS and quality related CMT tasks.
  • Develop and document quality procedures and update or approve production related procedures for quality aspects.
  • Collaborate with quality systems resources to develop best practices and share learnings.
  • Support problem solving, the quality improvement process, and effective corrective and preventive actions.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • SAP Experience
  • Experience with quality management systems compliant with IATF16949 and ISO9001:2015 International Standard
  • Ability to deliver clear oral and written messages both internally to the teach and externally to the customer
  • Demonstrate ability to understand, calculate, establish, and communicate key quality metrics
  • Demonstrate experience in auditing, carrying out root cause failure analysis and identifying critical corrective and preventive actions and driving to improvement and prevention
  • Excellent MS Office Skill (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
