In order to support our team, Airbus Aerostructures is looking for a

Structure Fuselage Airframe Design - Authorize (d/f/m):

You will be
part of an engaged team of development engineers in the fuselage primary structure perimeter taking care of the incremental development of all Airbus commercial programs and derivatives.

Working on feasibility studies and supporting in the detailed design and certification phase will be part of your job as well as supporting customer service requests.

Your location:

Airbus Aerostructures includes four production sites in Germany: the headquarters in Hamburg with three other plants in Nordenham, Bremen and Stade where work goes on today on the aerostructures of tomorrow's aircraft.

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in
Hamburg . Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Optimize the design of composites/hybrids components and assemblies that are in terms of weight, cost, performance and production/assembly.
Check adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines.
Perform monitoring and support of Subcontracting firms providing structure design work.
Support on End2End Configuration Items and associated Design Solutions from conceptual studies over definition dossier release
Align and communicate with interface partners, e.g. Systems Installation.

Desired skills and qualifications:

Engineering Degree in Aerospace or comparable
Fundamental understanding of Composite

- and Hybrid Design Principles and design best practices, Manufacturing & Assembly including tolerance principles

Toolset experience preferred: PASS SSCI,CATIA V5, VPM, APS, ICC-ACP
Project management fundamentals

- "Hands-on" mentality

Open and curious mindset
English and German fluent
