Intern/working student (M/F/d) Hardware Electronics

We are looking for an exceptionally motivated intern/working student (M/F/d) for hardware electronics to join our special-projects rocketry team.

This is a rare opportunity allowing you to be involved in demanding prototyping efforts that are supported by major, time-and-cost-critical test campaigns allowing us to close short-iteration development cycles at fast pace.

You will work in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for excellence by creating high-performance engineering solutions while keeping prototyping and production costs at an absolute minimum.

Your Tasks

Develop electronic designs, including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout design
Run through a board bring up of multilayer mixed signal PCBs
Verify prototype electronic assemblies meet design requirements for performance and reliability
Review environmental testing failure modes and identify root causes for future design improvements
Prepare assembly and procedure documentation to a high standard

Your Qualificatons

Current student in electronics, mechatronics engineering or related discipline
Proficiency with PCB design tools, preferably Altium Designer
Experience in data acquisition, instrumentation and control in an industrial and/or test system context, preferable National Instruments
Experience with simulation tools, e.g. SPICE
Exposure to common sensors, transducers and actuators
Excellent knowledge of electronics and electronic principles
Experience with common test and troubleshooting equipment such as, oscilloscopes, function generators, logic analyzers and multimeters
Fluent oral and written English skills (all daytoday activities are performed in English)
