Radar system using LiDAR and a dGPS as reference systems:

We are looking for a student (M/F/d) for a bachelor or master thesis at our location in Friedrichshafen. The start date is the 1st of August 2023.

The goal of the thesis is the Definition, implementation and setup of a system to recording key performance indicators (KPI) of radar systems using a LiDAR and dGPS reference system.

Your tasks:

Integration and setup of a reference and a logging system on a commercial vehicle
Definition of a method to evaluate the measurements and define sthe uitable key performance indicators
Implementation of a toolchain to automate and verify the measurements
Implementation of a toolchain to generate a report of the key performance indicators

Your profile:

Studying towards a degree in electronic, software, mechanical or automitive systems engineering
Advanced knowledge of Python (Pandas / Plotly)
Knowledge in automotive environmental detecting sensor technology is desirable
Good knowledge of C / C++ and CAN / CAN-FD / Automotive ethernet
Good knowledge in Vector Informatik GmbH Tools
Very good language skills in English and German
