The working group for thin-film processes at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (ILT) is looking for a committed and motivated student assistant (M/F/d) to work on industrial and research projects in the field of printed electronics as soon as possible.

This highly interesting and current technological field includes

Thin film processes (printed electronic circuits)
Material analytics
Micro

- and nanostructuring (LIFT-off process and material transfer)

Laser posttreatment
Coating of various technical components

What you will do

Planning and carrying out experimental investigations
Collaboration in the optimisation and development of test procedures, processes and protocols
Documentation, data analysis and literature research
Support in our laboratory work

What you bring to the table

You are studying materials engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics or a comparable degree programme
Reliability, ability to work in a team as well as an independent and structured way of working
Previous knowledge of CNC machines, laser technology, printed electronics, micro

- and nanotechnology is advantageous, but not essential

Initial experience in the laboratory and with lasers desirable

The weekly working hours are 17 h per week as agreed.
The position is initially limited to 6 months, after which it can be extended.
