The Position:

As newest member of CBD Finance & Group Functions Global Facilities & Engineering (GFE) bundles EHS, Security, Real Estate & Facility Management and Engineering globally, striving to serve Boehringer's site network as strong infrastructure and business partner.


As leading member of Global Engineering / Automation you have the chance to serve our partners cross business unites with automation technology.

In Global Automation we are accountable for a variety of CAPEX projects and technologies across automation domains (e.g., Process-, Factory-, Utilities
- & Building Automation).


Tasks & responsibilities:


  • In your new role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of the Global Automation function. This includes designing standards and company objectives related to Automation in order to continuously enhance service quality and further develop Automation based on market trends.
  • Moreover, you will be accountable for developing and implementing the global Automation strategy. Additionally, you will establish and monitor standards and ensure strong global governance to ensure compliance with Automation practices.
  • Considering governance, standardization, skill development, and training you will oversee the management of a global Automation organization. This will support various sites and businesses by providing highquality solutions and standardizing OT Infrastructure Services (in collaboration with Corporate IT), CSV, Qualification, and Data Integrity Services (in collaboration with Corporate Quality).
  • When it comes to Automationrelated questions you will serve as the primary point of contact for any Automation, providing support and advice to all global business partners (Animal Health, Biopharmaceuticals, Pharmaceuticals, and Chemical Production, GFE) and physical assistance for all Automation matters.
  • By analyzing business requirements, you will drive and revise the implementation of standards, KPIs, processes, and innovation by utilizing cuttingedge technologies.

Requirements:


  • University degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field with extensive leadership experience in Pharma or productionrelated roles, preferably in positions of increasing responsibility and complexity
  • Demonstrated expertise in Automation and related systems, including the standardization and harmonization of existing systems
  • Indepth knowledge of compliance aspects related to Automation systems, including FDA & EMA audits, as well as local and global requirements
  • Excellent understanding and experience with authority inspections, customer audits, and engineering audits
  • Proven track record in a global environment, with work experience in at least one country outside of Germany and multicultural competency
  • Passionate team player with visionary leadership skills and commitment to customer satisfaction as well as excellent influencing and communication skills in English
