We are looking for an experienced
Category Procurement Lead - Commercial Vehicle (M/F/d), based in
Germany or the Netherlands.

As the Category Procurement Lead - Commercial Vehicle (M/F/d), you will have the autonomy to take ownership of your results and drive excellence in cost, technology, and quality within the supply base.

Building strong relationships with suppliers will be crucial as you strive to achieve best-in-class outcomes for our organization.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with stakeholders across various divisions, ensuring the successful implementation and execution of procurement initiatives.


Your tasks:


  • Collaborate with stakeholders on a strategic and tactical level, acting as a trusted partner to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Take ownership of initiating, drafting, validating, signing off, implementing, and executing the procurement strategy within the broader strategy set by the Procurement Leadership team.
  • Leverage your expertise to shape effective sourcing strategies and ensure their successful implementation.
  • Establish a strong presence within the Commercial Vehicle Category, fostering visibility and accessibility to suppliers, industry events, and relevant market developments.
  • Lead the operational procurement for commercial vehicle category and drive best practice across DP World.
  • Take project responsibility for complete category implementation of suppliers for leasing, OEMs, oil companies, tire industry and worshop networks.
  • Manage strategic and tactical supplier relationships within the Commercial Vehicle Category and lead contracts on a strategic level, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop robust risk management systems to ensure supplier continuity and promote healthy competition.

Your Profile:


  • Completed university degree in the field of Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Business Administration.
  • Certification or active pursuit of certification in CIPS/NEVI or equivalent procurement certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Commercial Vehicle field and/or procurement including leasing, insurance, fuel, tires, and OEMs.
  • Proven ability to initiate, draft, validate, sign off, and execute procurement strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in building strategic partnerships with suppliers to deliver services throughout Europe.
  • Experience in crossfunctional teams and good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Fluent English and German language skills (written & spoken), any additional language is an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time within Europe for business purposes.
