Fraunhofer EMFT conducts cutting-edge applied research on sensors and actuators for people and the environment.The about 150 employees in the three locations in Munich, Oberpfaffenhofen and Regensburg possess impressive long-term experience and wide-ranging know-how in the fields of microelectronics and microsystem technology.
The technology offering of the research institute ranges from semiconductor processes, MEMS technologies and 3D integration to foil electronics. These nano- and microtechnologies are the basis for the other competence areas at Fraunhofer
EMFT:
sensor solutions, safe and secure electronics, and micropumps.

What you will do
- Creating of low power analog
- Exploring and evaluating novel circuit concepts and collaborate across teams and organizations to find the best architecture, topology and implementation for the ASIC's based on advanced CMOS and BiCMOS process technologies
- Developing specific and innovative solutions for existing or new markets in close coordination with customers and research partners
- Publishing research results and representing them at conferences
- Supervising students in the course of writing their Bachelor's or Master's thesis
What you bring to the table
- Aboveaverage academic degree in electrical engineering
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the field
- Very good knowledge of Analog and Mixed-Signal integrated circuit design
- Good knowledge in the following fields: Cadence design flow and implementation of the specification up to a complete circuit including layout taking into account the process variability and parasitic effects, and/or setting up a test environment for the verification of integrated circuits
- Ideally indepth knowledge of the CAD environment setup for mixedsignal design and/or tapeout experience
- Motivation to familiarise yourself with new topics and to drive new ideas forward
- Enjoy working in a team to achieve highquality results
