WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING


As an Originator Trade Finance & Working Capital Solutions VP you become a lead member in the Trade & Working Capital Solutions Team in originating and structuring Trade transactions and Working Capital Solutions products for large corporate clients in Germany, Austria, Switzerland such as in the Nordic countries.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

  • Identify opportunities and originate Trade Finance transactions with large corporate clients in close collaboration with Coverage teams, Global Product teams, as well as with correspondent banks.
  • Identify opportunities and originate Working Capital Solutions deals with CIB Clients based in DACH and Nordics, working handinhand with the Coverage teams, the Global Product teams and the other GTB colleagues.
  • Take ownership of the P&L of a mature Client portfolio, developing the relationship with the relevant stakeholders within the Client organizations and growing business over time
  • Continuously gather market intelligence and advice clients on all matters concerning adequate use of our trade finance capabilities and the optimization of Working Capital, including peer analysis, market
- assessments, international benchmarking etc.

  • Assume an external advocacy role and represent the Bank at relevant conferences, associations and business communities, in order to build up Santander's branding and thought leadership in this field.
  • Liaise and coordinate many phases of the business development along with other departments (Coverage, Middle and Back Office, products specialist, compliance, legal), also based in other geographies.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 78 years of experience in a top Investment Bank in Global Transaction Banking.
  • Knowledge of Trade Finance products such as Guarantees and LCs and Working Capital products like Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, Structured Trade Finance.

EDUCATION

  • B.A. in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent are highly valued. Additional qualifications in banking, finance or economics are a plus
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Fluency in English and very good knowledge in German. Spanish would be a plus.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Flexibility to travel and participate in client meetings in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and in the Nordic region.
