Building and system simulation can make a significant contribution to the energy efficiency of buildings if it is applied in early planning phases.

An essential prerequisite is the implementation of plant models that can answer the questions that need to be addressed in early planning phases.

What you will do
You...
- work your way into the simulation of building systems engineering with free Modelica libraries
- define the questions to be answered, boundary conditions, test scenarios
- research and compare existing calculation models, e.g. for CHPs, heat pumps and solar thermal systems
- implement the calculation models in Modelica
- implement the test scenarios
- simulate and evaluate the test scenarios

What you bring to the table

You are studying mechanical engineering, civil engineering or similar and have knowledge in the field of building services engineering
You ideally have some programming experience
You have a structured and independent way of working and show initiative
You have good written and spoken German and English skills
