Adaptivity is an indispensable property for the networked world of tomorrow.

Intelligent components can detect and evaluate changes in the environment or in the system itself and adapt to them independently.

As a partner of industry, Fraunhofer IIS/EAS develops key technologies for adaptive systems with about 110 employees at Dresden and offers innovative technologies and robust solutions
solutions.

In this environment, we characterize semiconductor structures by electrical measurements on wafer probes. Our focus is on reliability aspects on integrated transistors.


What you will do

You are looking for new challenges and want to complement your studies with practical experience?

  • We offer a position as HiWi or intern for the supervision of our experiments. You will familiarize yourself with the characterization of semiconductors on wafer probes,
- set up measurement setups and create or adapt required measurement routines,
- carry out experiments and evaluate the resulting measurement data
- interpret and record the results.


What you bring to the table

  • Do you have a very careful way of working for these activities?
  • You have a sound knowledge of the structure and behavior of semiconductor devices?
  • You have basic programming and solid English skills?
  • You have first laboratory experiences, preferably in the analysis of semiconductors?
