The position is suitable for part-time employment.

The position will be based at the Chair of Applied Microeconomics (Prof. Cristian Huse) and is particularly interesting for someone who is striving for a career in academia and looking for a position to develop their skills further.


You will contribute to the agenda of the research group and pursue your own research in Applied Microeconomics, in particular, Industrial Organization, and Environmental Economics.

In particular, you will be part of the research project EVPARK recently awarded funding by DFG (the German Research Foundation) to investigate the environmental and economic impacts of policy instruments on the market for electric vehicles.


The pre-condition for hiring is a successfully completed Master's degree in Economics or Statistics, with a focus on applied econometrics.


Additional requirements for this position include:

  • A solid background in Microeconomics, Applied Econometrics, Environmental Economics, and Industrial Organization, and an interest to develop further in these areas;
  • Experience with empirical projects, ideally in Empirical Industrial Organization (e.g., demand estimation, antitrust) or Environmental and Energy Economics;
  • Extensive knowledge of programming and/or statistical packages (e.g., Python, R, Stata);
  • Knowledge about the electric vehicle market, in particular the Scandinavian markets and its characteristics;
  • Good command of the English language, German language skills are an advantage
