Key Accountant (M/F/d) General Ledger

For over 50 years, Evonik Oxeno GmbH & Co. KG has been a major producer of C4 chemicals for over 50 years.

In our two independent integrated production facilities in Marl (Germany) and Antwerp (Belgium), we mainly process high-quality plastics, coatings and lubricants.

Our products are used, for example, in the home and leisure sector as well as in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Tasks:

You will independently prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including notes and management report in accordance with IFRS and HGB
You will monitor the accrual and booking of provisions based on expert opinions (including personnel provisions, pensions)
You are responsible for the continuous reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts
You will prepare the balance sheet in accordance with IFRS 16 (leasing/rental), carry out analyses and prepare reports for the company and management
You are the crossdepartmental contact person for internal and external departments, e.g. controlling, auditors, etc.
You advise operational departments and controlling in the area of accounting
You review legal requirements and ensure that they are complied with
You will support ongoing audits by the tax authorities and help develop special projects

Profile:

You have completed your Master's degree in business administration with a focus on finance or tax
You have at least three years of professional experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on general ledgers
And have excellent knowledge of accounting in accordance with IFRS and HGB
You are proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and SAP, in particular the SAP R/3 FI module
You also have a strong understanding of numbers, analytical skills and work in a structured and conscientious manner
You have very good written and spoken German and English skills
You drive projects forward on your own initiative and convince others of your ideas
Communication and cooperation skills as well as the ability to work in a team round off your profile
