It operates across six sites in Heidelberg (headquarters), Barcelona, Cambridge, Grenoble, Hamburg and Rome.

Our mission is to perform basic research in molecular biology; train scientists, students and visitors at all levels; offer vital services to scientists in the public and private sectors within the member states; develop new instruments and methods; and engage actively in technology transfer.

Your role

You will work in a highly supportive environment within a DCM sub-group at EMBL with technical assistance within the lab, and support from computational biology experts at EMBL as well as access to core facilities and a strong network of external collaboration partners.

Strong analytical skills, proficiency in bioinformatic tools and statistical analysis related to high-throughput genomic data will be of a high benefit.

We expect you to take a lead of the project, including designing, performing and analyzing your own experiments.

You will have opportunities to be involved into grant writing, contributing to high-impact publications as well as presentations at international conferences.
