Summary/ Opportunity:

Looking to gain expertise in the world of AI? Question answering (Q&A) in conversations is a new and interesting topic within the automotive industry and hence within Cerence.

In order to improve one of our existing products focusing on Q&A in an automotive scenario, we are looking for a motivated student to work in our team located in Aachen, Germany

This new adventure will bring you to:

Develop and deploy LLMs for conversational Question answering use-cases in the scope of our product development.
Implement scalable NLP solutions that are used in one of our existing products.
Develop solutions that are automatically tested and deployed to production environments.

Who you are:

Enrolled master's or PhD student of Computer Science, Data Science, Neuroinformatics, Software Engineering or related field of study
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English knowledge (main working language). Other European languages, Mandarin or Japanese are highly desirable.
Handson experience with Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.
Excellent programming skills in Python.
Handson experience in one of the following deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, etc.
Familiar with stateoftheart LLM development and trends.
Experience using Unix/Linux and version management tools.
Independent, resultsoriented and structured working with a responsible attitude.
