Summary/ Opportunity:


Looking to gain expertise in the world of AI? Question answering (Q&A) in conversations is a new and interesting topic within the automotive industry and hence within Cerence.

In order to improve one of our existing products focusing on Q&A in an automotive scenario, we are looking for a motivated student to work in our team located in Aachen, Germany

This new adventure will bring you to:

  • Develop and deploy LLMs for conversational Question answering use-cases in the scope of our product development.
  • Implement scalable NLP solutions that are used in one of our existing products.
  • Develop solutions that are automatically tested and deployed to production environments.

Who you are:

  • Enrolled master's or PhD student of Computer Science, Data Science, Neuroinformatics, Software Engineering or related field of study
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English knowledge (main working language). Other European languages, Mandarin or Japanese are highly desirable.
  • Handson experience with Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python.
  • Handson experience in one of the following deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, etc.
  • Familiar with stateoftheart LLM development and trends.
  • Experience using Unix/Linux and version management tools.
  • Independent, resultsoriented and structured working with a responsible attitude.
