The Cash Market Services is responsible for the secure, integer and efficient provision of our services on the trading venues of the German Stock Exchange (Xetra and Börse Frankfurt) and our partner exchanges in Europe.

Our mission is to ensure smooth exchange trading and to respond to functional customer requests.


As intern / working student - Market Control (f/m/d) in one of our teams, you will be right in the middle of the action and actively support our colleagues with daily functional client requests, quality assurance of trading data, support for software and trading model changes, the introduction of new, digitalized processes and the management of unpredictable situations in a very dynamic environment, such as extremely volatile markets.


Your responsibilities:


  • You will support the execution of daytoday tasks to ensure the smoothest possible operation of the various markets within different areas: Financial instruments, corporate news, trading system interfaces and tools as well as emergency handling
  • You will assist with general research, analysis and administrative tasks and support in the execution of trading suspensions and resumptions
  • You will help to monitor trading activities in the cash market trading systems
  • You will support trading participants (especially system testers & system developers) in the simulation environment
  • Furthermore, you will support release projects of Deutsche Börse's trading systems to ensure smooth operations after implementation
  • In addition to these exciting tasks, you can expect many insights into the stock market and a strong team

Your profile:


  • You are enrolled at an officially recognized university during the whole time of activity
(Study focus in the field of informatics, mathematics, physics, digital business, digital transformation or other relevant fields)

  • You are interested in the capital market and modern technologies and have initial knowledge of the capital market and a certain technical affinity
  • You can independently and quickly familiarize yourself with new topics
  • You have experience in programming (VBA, JavaScript, Python or AI) and you want to further develop these skills through working on concrete tasks
  • You have very good MS-Office skills (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • You are fluent English and at least good & improving in German language
