As a Collections Agent you will be part of the Lending Team, we focus on bringing Lending products and access to capital to our merchant base. As part of the dedicated Collections Team your work will focus on ensuring that our merchants have all the information and tools necessary to ensure that they can repay SumUp on time and in a fair and mutually beneficial manner.
You'll have a high level of access to colleagues of all levels in the Lending Team, improve our merchant experience and deliver high level, solutions driven collections advice to our merchants.
We have big plans to expand Lending products to our merchants and are looking for motivated and creative team members to tackle all the opportunities and challenges that this will bring.

What you'll do
Deliver a high level of customer service to our merchants in the UK (You will be based in Berlin).
Support merchants in financial difficulties by identifying appropriate arrears and debt management solutions such as payment plans.
Communicate solutions with merchants both verbally via phone and in writing.
Collaborate with your team and other stakeholders to ensure we improve our products and provide the best level of service to our merchants.
Feedback merchant ideas and improvements to the wider Lending Team.

You'll be great for this position if

You can handle high volumes of inbound and outbound customer calls.
You are organised, vigilant and adept at time management.
You have strong analytical and investigation skills.
You are knowledgeable about compliance, risk and support procedures.
You have excellent communication skills in English (An additional EU language would be a plus).
You are patient, selfconfident, resilient and a team player.
You have experience with platforms such as Slack, Salesforce and Confluence.
