**Praktikum/ Abschlussarbeit im Bereich interaktive Systeme in der navigierten Cranialen Neurochirurgie - ab **September **2024 für 6 Monate**

**Unser Angebot an Dich**
- Wir bieten für das WS 2024 eine Abschlussarbeit/Praxissemester zum Thema "Interactive Guidance for Navigated Cranial Surgery" an.
- Du hast die Möglichkeit, Prototypen für unser chirurgisches Navigationssystem zu entwickeln und unser Team mit deiner Proof-of-Concept Applikation zu unterstützen.
- Du bist ein aktives Mitglied in unserem internationalen und interdisziplinären Research & Development Team.
- Du implementierst deine Lösung mit** **C++ oder Python und Matlab und evaluierst sie in einem Eco-System bestehend aus State-of-the-Art Navigations
- und Bildgebungssystem.
- Du kannst dabei unter anderem neueste Technologien aus den Bereichen Machine Vision, Computergrafik, Human-Computer-Interaction und interaktive Systeme kennenlernen und anwenden.
- Du führst eigenständig Recherchen im OP-Umfeld durch, um herauszufinden, wie innovative Ideen wertschöpfend anzuwenden sind

**Das zeichnet Dich aus**
- Du studierst Informatik, Medizintechnik, Mathematik, Physik oder einen vergleichbaren Studiengang im Masterstudium.
- Du hast Erfahrung mit Testaufbauten und objektorientierten Programmiersprachen (z.B. C/**C++**), Skriptsprachen (z.B. Python, Matlab), oder Bibliotheken (OpenCV, VTK, Qt, DCMTK) gesammelt.
- Du besitzt ein gutes mathematisches Verständnis.
- Du möchtest dich mit anspruchsvollen Aufgaben im Bereich der Medizintechnik auseinandersetzen.
- Du bist unter Freunden und Studienkollegen für Eigeninitiative und Flexibilität bekannt.
- Du verfügst über gute Englischkenntnisse.
- Eine eigenständige Arbeitsweise, ein hohes Maß an Motivation und Engagement sowie die Bereitschaft schnell Verantwortung zu übernehmen zeichnen Dich aus.

**Internship/ Thesis in the field of interactive systems in navigated cranial neurosurgery - starting **September **2024 for 6 months**

**Our offer to you**
- We offer a thesis/practical semester on the topic "Interactive Guidance for Navigated Cranial Surgery" for WS 2024.
- You will be an active member of our international and interdisciplinary Research & Development team.
- You will implement your solution using C++ or Python and Matlab and evaluate it in an eco-system consisting of state-of-the-art navigation and imaging systems.
- You will conduct independent research in the operating room environment to find out how innovative ideas can be applied in a value-adding way.

**That makes you stand out**
- You are studying computer science, medical engineering, mathematics, physics or a comparable course of study in your master's degree.
- You have experience with test setups and object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C/**C++**), scripting languages (e.g. Python, Matlab), or libraries (OpenCV, VTK, Qt, DCMTK).
- You have a good understanding of mathematics.
- You want to deal with challenging tasks in the field of medical engineering.
- You are known among friends and fellow students for your initiative and flexibility.
- You have a good command of English.
- An independent way of working, a high degree of motivation and commitment as well as the willingness to quickly take on responsibility characterize you.
