A rare breed, the Solutions Architecture team has a serious depth of technical knowledge and works closely with customers as trusted technical advisors. They're capable of comprehending complex technical information, while also being able to communicate solutions to a wide range of audiences. Solutions Architecture works collaboratively with our Support, Product, and Engineering teams to facilitate solutions to customer needs with our product portfolio.

You enjoy helping customers solve problems and nurturing their success. You engage with our customers on a technical level while running the lifecycle of success with them. You take accountability for the adoption, success, and maturity of the customer's solution.


What you'll do

  • Partner with our Sales team in the presales stage to win new business by providing technical expertise, advice and guidance.
  • Understand customers' business requirements and goals.
  • Design solutions that solve critical business challenges for customers.
  • Facilitate technology strategy, requirements and architecture conversations.
  • Develop solutions for proof of concept and production implementation built on top of SoftIron's hardware and software solutions.
  • Contribute customer insights to our product development and roadmaps.
  • Design and deliver onboarding, training, and enablement of the customer throughout customer engagements.
  • Provide handson design, development, and enablement assistance to customer's technical users.
  • Contribute to our configuration best practices and create comprehensive documentation around solutions.
  • Identify opportunities that continually improve and automate our configuration and sales workflows.
  • Own and become a trusted advisor in the longterm technical relationship between SoftIron and the customer.

Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English.

years of combined expertise across pre-sales, post-sales, and support with a solid technical grounding and hands-on experience of systems configuration, deployment, and overall management.


  • Deep knowledge in Linux and Windows architecture and infrastructure design.
  • Ability to read most programming/scripting languages, and write in some (eg. Python, Golang, bash, PowerShell).
  • Understanding of current storage and networking technologies and clustered systems.
  • Ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environments.
  • Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new products and technologies.

Desirable

Knowledge of:

  • SDS solutions such as BeeGFS, Ceph, GPFS, Lustre, Weka, etc.
  • SONiC
  • FFMpeg and GStreamer

Location
To complement our existing team and customer base, we're looking for team members in Germany.

The role can be based remotely but you must be located in Germany as it will involve travel to customer locations to provide on-site support.
