• Provides guidance and training to headquarters and subordinate command security officers in all assigned security disciplines.
• Provides classification management guidance to headquarters and subordinate commands.
• Evaluates the security program resources within the command and initiates programming, budgeting, and manpower actions.
• Processes the Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire (EPSQ) for headquarters and provides EPSQ guidance.

• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SSBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required 25% or less of the time.
• This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program.

• To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GG/GS[11] that prepared you to do this job. Specialize experience is defined and experience which includes experience implementing policies and procedures for the protection of classified material, conducting security inspections to ensure proper handling and storage of classified materials, verifying security clearances and need to know requirements to grant access to classified information. This definition of specialize experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service.
• Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligencerelated security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

• If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI and DoDM
• If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI and DoDM
• Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a spaceavailable and reimbursable basis only.
