The Position:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and creative postdoctoral scientist to join our group "Development Operations Germany".

We are focusing on the development of mammalian cell-culture upstream, downstream, and analytical processes for the production of various biopharmaceutical protein formats.

The Post Doc project will investigate new analytical technologies as well as automation approaches.

As this, you contribute to a future-oriented analytical strategy and subsequently to the development and delivery of our products to our patients.

This position is limited for 2 years.

Tasks & responsibilities:

In your new role, you will be responsible for the evaluation and implementation of innovative analytical technologies (e.g. FTIR spectroscopy). You will furthermore be responsible for the optimization of existing or new analytical wet lab and digital technologies, amongst them but not limited to Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) and digital analytical twins.
As a driver of innovative projects, you are responsible for the supervision and proactive steering of your projects as well as the development of new ideas and lines of inquiry.
With your strong communication skills, you are ensuring transparent communication within project teams, across functions and at project related interfaces.
You are responsible for compiling presentations and reports of your work (English) as well as for supervision of students.
Furthermore, you can publish your results in peerreviewed scientific journals and present your work at international conferences.

Requirements:

Doctoral degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related fields
Experience in the use of bioanalytical methods for protein characterization as well as profound understanding of biochemical structurefunction relationships
Experience in high throughput and/or automation technologies is beneficial
Ability to successfully pursue multiple multifaceted projects as scientific lead at the same time
A proactive and independent working manner, excellent organizational skills and the ability to respond to changing priorities and short lead times for multiple tasks
Inspiring mindset and the ability to leverage collaborative working and skills within existing teams as well as forming and establishing new teams and collaborations
Excellent communication skills as well as sound technical writing and documentation competencies in English
