Intern in the field of insect physiology (all genders)

YOUR TASKS AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

You will work on futureoriented tasks at Crop Science in the field of insects/cell biology
You support the establishment of methods for analyzing feeding behavior in sucking insects such as Electrical Penetration Graph (EPG)
You evaluate imaging methods to gain a better understanding of phenotypic behavior
You establish preparation methods of various insect organs and take the first steps towards primary cell preparation as well as their characterization using fluorescence microscopy
You work in a multidisciplinary team
You collaborate with teams from other laboratories
You gain insight into the processes of industrial biotechnology

WHO YOU ARE

You are an enrolled student (all genders) of biology or biochemistry or a comparable course of study and already have a Bachelor ́s degree in the aforementioned courses
You have basic laboratory experience in the field of cell biology and molecular biology
You are familiar with the common Microsoft Office programs
You have good time and organizational management skills
You are characterized by your independent working style and enjoy working in a team
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, German language skills are an advantage
