Head of Science, Space Safety, Robotic Exploration Payloads (M/F/d)

Your Tasks

Interface to customer for future projects: ESA, DLR, Scientific Institutes
Support of B2/C/D/E1 proposals preparation: design, development and verification plan, industrial procurement plan, WBS, management plans
Running studies on payloads and instruments
Running projects on payloads and instruments
Managing the department of Science, Space Safety, Robotic Exploration Payloads
Support and monitoring of future studies of the program area in early phases
Ensure continuity across project phases 0/A and B/C/D.
Supporting the preparation of a strategic business plan for the Exploration, Science and Space Saftey program areas
Planning and coordination of tasks with the required technical departments
Support R&D strategy and Technical product marketing
Reporting to the Program Manager Exploration & Science & Space Safety

Your Qualifications

Successfully completed engineering studies or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in the space sector with focus on Exploration & Science & Space Safety
Several years of experience in proposal preparation (A/B/C/D) as well as A/B study or B/C/D project management
High level of communication and leadership skills as well as the ability to work in a team, a sense of responsibility and an entrepreneurial mindset
The ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility, negotiation skills, flexibility and an effective and independent way of working
Good English language skills, both written and spoken
Relevant knowledge of common MS Office tools
Willingness to travel
