Critical Voices Fellowship 2023

Requirements:

• Successful applicants should be able to provide proof of the following:
• Professional or educational experience with financial management, including a

University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance or
related field from an accredited academic institution

• Experience working in international aid settings an advantage
• Very good written and spoken German and English
• Working knowledge of Russian, Arabic, Ukrainian or Burmese is an advantage
• Enjoyment working with numbers

What we offer:

• The MiCT Critical Voices Fellowship is aimed at media professionals from war and crisis

regions who share a common value in their professional journalistic integrity. The program
is currently focused on journalists and media makers from Afghanistan, Russia, Belarus,
Ukraine, Myanmar and Sudan. Fellows receive expert safety advice, online training, legal
advice, psycho-social support, production support, and access to a global community of
like-minded media professionals.
To support the financial oversight of the project MiCT is looking for a Financial Assistant
(Werkstudent*In) to support for up to 20h/week.
Operation and Administration tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Document processing
• Assigning, checking and entering invoices
• Managing procurement processes
• Assist in budgeting & controlling functions
• Contract, invoice and deliverable verification
• Manage finance documents on the drive
• Support in audit preparation

We are looking for support in Berlin, Germany and offer a nice centrally located office
- with transparent company culture, an international creative team and individual job-specific
training opportunities. The contract will run until December 2023, covering up to 20h/week
on a freelance basis. Employment as a working student (Werkstudent*In) is also possible.
