- Develop procurement strategies in close collaboration with the Group.
- Develop and lead on supplier partnership projects.
- Procurement, both across direct and indirect spend areas.
- Ensure procurement strategies are implemented locally in DACH.
- Contribute to people development through active performance management.
- Ensure each procurement team member in DACH has clear objectives and access to the support and tools needed for delivery against these objectives.
- Responsible for the delivery of the DACH procurement targets within the 3-year plan, working in close collaboration with group procurement and the DACH leadership team.
- Lead complex supplier negotiations to improve supply chain performance and mitigate risks in DACH (Assurance of supply, Quality, Service, Cost, Innovation and Environment).
- Work closely with the Group Rebate control team to ensure DACH rebates are paid on time and in full.
- Responsible for meeting DACH compliance targets, developing a close partnership with Clinical Board, Suppliers and Clinics.
- Ensure the necessary system support is in place to effectively manage compliance and make it easy for clinic to order the right product.
- Work efficiently with a large set of internal and external stakeholders.
- Master ́s degree in business administration or in a related discipline, ideally with major in procurement.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement, ideally with first leadership responsibility.
- Above-average teambuilding and leadership skills.
- Experience in a decentralized structure with a multitude of different stakeholders, ideally but not necessarily from a healthcare environment. Also candidates with a background in procurement consulting are highly welcome.
- Experience in a highly professional procurement set-up with some focus on smooth and efficient processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to influence and get buy-in from key functions such as medical, operations and finance.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on mentality.
- Business fluency in German and English.

Our client is one of the world's leading veterinary care provider with a network of clinics, hospitals and out-of-hour centres based across 19 countries employing over 28,000 staff. The company invests in their people, premises and processes to provide clinical excellence. The DACH operations currently has around 100 veterinary clinics across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The position of the "Procurement Manager DACH" will be in charge of a small team and will report directly into the Group Procurement Director. The future incumbent will lead the procurement activities across DACH, in alignment with agreed strategies and business plans. The special challenge will be to further professionalize the DACH procurement activities in a setup that has grown through m&a over recent years and to bring procurement to the next level.
