The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Gmbh legal Entity

We are looking for an Automation Technical Specialist (m/w/d)

For this position we are hiring on a field based position in Europe, Middle East and Africa


MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE


Manage all aspects of a large scale and complex project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing an automation project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays.
  • Work with team member to prepare designs and work specifications
  • Assist with development of schedules and lead a local team of service specialists to provide onsite services to receive and accept the product shipment, transport to the laboratory location, assemble and test the automation solution
  • Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete.
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.
  • Must be able to multitask and coordinate with a complex network of departments throughout all levels of an organization such as sales representatives,lab managers,project managers,construction contractors,facilities directors,internal and external vendors and contractors,and senior level management as needed.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor degree required with preferred areas in technical systems or related field.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics. Minimum of 25 years of formal instrument and/or automation field service experience is required.
  • Familiarity with laboratory workflow and operations preferred. Experience with ADD's instrument systems a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, organization, project management, consulting knowledge, and attention to detail required.
