About Heraeus Conamic


We are one of the leading materials specialists for the production and processing of high-purity quartz glass and other high-grade materials such as ceramics and novel composites.

Our innovative products enable the production of state-of-the-art semiconductor chips or medical lasers for mínimally invasive surgical procedures through flexible optical fibers.

The following challenges await you:


  • You create longterm value and profitable growth by building the strategic innovation roadmap for both products and processes.
  • You lead the Research & Development team of around 40 people.
  • You are responsible for managing innovation project budgets from project start to market launch.
  • In addition, the initiation and implementation of projects as a basis for future innovations in close coordination with other departments involved is also part of your area of responsibility.
  • You develop carbon neutral production technology.
  • Furthermore, you are responsible for expansion and active relationshipmanagement of an innovation network with research institutions, startups and individual experts.

Your profile:


  • Successfully completed master's degree in physics, chemistry or materials science.
  • Many years of functional and leadership experience in R&D of an industrial environment preferably in the field of glass technology or material manufacturing
  • Strong track record in developing strategic innovation roadmaps and project management skills
  • Excellent technical understanding with the ability to communicate complex issues in a straightforward manner
  • People orientation and ability to work in a team
  • Fluency in German & English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel
