What You Can Expect

Over the course of two years, you'll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your teams and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy.

You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand.

From day one, you will work on meaningful projects with three individually designed assignments, including one eight-months assignment abroad (Covid permitting).

You will be assigned a mentor and will shadow a role or position to support you in reaching your individual career goals and network with peers and business leaders.

We are part of the Grid Technologies Organization of Siemens Energy and managing tender projects for our power transmission portfolio (HVDC, GA, FACTS), including feed studies and preferred supplier agreements.

Our team, located at the German Headquarter in Erlangen, is leading the tender preparation process, starting from early acquisition phase, throughout client clarification meetings until contract award and final handover to the execution team.

We collaborate as interface across diverse interdisciplinary project teams at Siemens Energy, including regional units. In your role, you will actively drive and support the tender project management process to deliver a fully elaborated, ontime, and highquality tender. You will get deep insights and gain experience in various tenders and studies for your development towards (technical) Project Manager.

How You'll Make an Impact

As part of our Graduate Program, you are on the Siemens Energy team. You'll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and will work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.
You will be involved in the early acquisition phase together with the sales team and get insights into clarification meetings with the customer.
You will support setting up the respective global tender team (e.g., legal, financing experts and various engineering disciplines) and prepare customer bids accordingly.
Your help will be significant to ensure that customer requirements are in line with the technical solution and the defined tender strategy.
In your coordinating role, you will collect and consolidate cost/risk calculations and tender documentation.
Your proactive and handson attitude will be key for successfully managing the full scope of financial, commercial, and technical activities during the tender process.

What You Bring

Good understanding of business processes, commercial basics as well as legal topics
Handson attitude combined with excellent communication skills at all levels
Proactive approach and eagerness to work in a project environment
Significant practical work experience up to 36 months including knowledge from internships, working student activities or employment
A master's degree, doctoral degree, or equivalent in electrical / mechanical / construction engineering, plant design or a similar technical field
Minimum of 3 months of international experience gained through studying or working
Excellent English skills to work in a multicultural environment and be flexible and mobile during the program
German language skills are a plus
