Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the team with technical expertise and a strong service orientation
  • Contribute to a followthesun support model as part of the global IT team
  • Perform installation, troubleshooting, and support of workstations, laptops, servers, periphery
  • Provide local IT support for conference and server rooms including servers, switches, routers, NAS storage, ACunits, UPS, and working with local utilities & ISP companies
  • Work closely with vendors to coordinate equipment selection, receiving of equipment, and resolving issues with installed equipment
  • Support hardware related optimization of development work of the compute intense & performancesensitive software including analysis of optimal CPU/GPU configurations
  • Manage inventory of technology assets by keeping asset registers and other documentation up to date including hardware and software
  • Deployment and management of virtual machines using VMware
  • Through a mindset of continuous improvement, regularly assess and provide feedback on opportunities to improve operations
  • Provide operational reporting to leadership regularly and participate in governance meetings
  • Maintain security compliance via regular patching and adhering to corporate security policies
  • International travel to provide global IT support in other Esri offices when needed

Requirements:


  • Effective communication and collaboration skills including demonstrating patience and willingness to listen to support crossfunctional teams
  • 1+ year(s) of experience providing IT support
  • Experience administrating and working with desktop and server infrastructure on Windows and Linux
  • Working knowledge of AD (Active Directory), DHCP, DNS, and Certificates Management
  • Exposure working with VMware environments
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills to be able to work across geographies
  • Ability to work flexible hours

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Passion for hardware and performance
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Dell hardware, and GPUs (Graphics Processing Unit)
  • Working knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services) or AzureScripting knowledge like PowerShell, JavaScript, or Python
  • Understanding of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), web servers
  • Knowledge of Esri software
