The aim of our research is to proactively detect health risks involving humans and the environment, decoding the mechanisms of pathogenesis and developing concepts for prevention and therapy.

Obesity and diabetes are nowadays considered risk factors for various cancer entities. The Institute for Diabetes and Cancer headed by Prof. Stephan Herzig, PhD is studying the mutual molecular integration points linking these diseases.

Responsibilities:

- handling of laboratory animals and management of transgenic mouse lines
- molecular and cellular biology techniques, including cloning, gene expression analysis, and mammalian cell culture
- handling of SAP-based ordering and invoice management systems

Your qualifications
- training as a technical assistant or equivalent qualification. University graduates (BSc) are encouraged to apply
- good knowledge of the English language
- ability to work independently and proactively
- strong skills in team work
- a high degree of organizing ability
- flexibility and reliability

Provided that the prerequisites are fulfilled, a salary level up to E 6 is possible. Social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the federal public service (TVöD). The position is (initially) limited to 2 years, under certain circumstances an extension can be arranged.
