At LanguageWire, we wire the world together with languages. Our Business Development Team will be the first touchpoint for new customers who start their customer journey with us.

The role you'll play:

You will...
- have a consultative mindset
- be comfortable managing the large volume of inbound requests we receive
- set up and successfully accomplish your sales pipeline, from lead stage to closing & onboarding
- cold contact new prospects up to C-Level stakeholders


You'll be given the training, tools and solutions to target and approach prospective clients, highlight the value of our ecosystem and convert them from prospect to customer.

You will be based in our office either in Munich or Hamburg.


The team you'll be a part of:

You'll have a crucial role in our LanguageWire Business Development Team and be a key driver of our business in German speaking markets.

You will report to our Head of Business Development and be a member of his regional teams.

You'll interact with local colleagues in your branch office but you will also work with colleagues across our international value chain up to the C-Team.

  • Establishing & developing relationships with enterprise targets
  • Create proposals, lead presentations, manage RFPs & negotiate contracts
  • Representing LanguageWire at commercial events/trade fairs/thought leadership occasions
  • Pipeline management & forecasting of revenues
  • Being a strong team player whose contributions, ideas and feedbacks are well appreciated by the team, and who can always fully rely on the other team members

  • Your colleagues can rely on you as a resource for describing in detail the case studies for your book of business and beyond
  • You have hit your annual target and are well prepared to easily surpass next year's targets

What you'll need to bring

  • A university degree
years sales experience, with strong background in translation industry & SaaS/Technology

  • Understanding of the sales lifecycle from lead generation through business closing
  • Proven track record in achieving enterprise sales targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A consultancy tool box (problem solving, analytical mindset, stakeholder management, presentation skills etc.)
  • Professional Language Proficiency in both German (native speaker) and English are obligatory, further languages will be advantageous
  • A "can do" attitude
  • The ability to learn and acquire new knowledge fast
  • Readiness to take on challenges

  • Knowing the Translation industry both from buyers' and suppliers' perspective
  • Understanding complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders on client's side
  • Bringing experience from integrating platforms & systems to drive value
  • Having a strategic and methodical approach to problem solving
