CES works mainly in the field of development cooperation and implements infrastructure projects for national high-end clients (ministries and line authorities) funded by international donors.

CES is looking for an experienced International Expert for Digital monitoring of waste collection vehicles (routing) (f/m/d) for an upcoming project: "National Solid Waste Management Program"

Requirements:

PROJECT AND

The government of Egypt has identified the improvement of SWM as a key challenge for the country's development which is now considered a priority in the national Sustainable Development Strategy "Egypt Vision 2030".

In its third report to the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and in its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), Egypt emphasizes the goal of reducing GHG emissions from the waste sector.

The government has therefore accelerated interventions for improving waste management.

The main objective of the National Solid Waste Program is to strengthen state institutions, private-sector companies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to promote climate-friendly solid waste management (SWM) and circular economy (CE).

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of a B.Sc. degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in digital monitoring of waste collection vehicles, review of technical options, specifications, installation and monitoring of the system
Regional experience min. 3 shortterm assignments in the MENA region in the past 3 years
3 years of experience in Development Cooperation projects
Excellent English skills
