Duties:


  • Serves as IT Specialist/Database Administrator for the Regional Cyber Center-Europe, Enterprise Data Services Team.
  • Provides design, management and improvement of the SQL as a Service Enterprise architectures.
  • Serves as an Information Technology Specialist performing work, independently and as a member of a team, in the administration, development, delivery and support of IT systems and services.
  • Develops new methods, approaches and procedures in Enterprise Database Administration, Systems Administration and service delivery.
  • Provides advice and guidance on a wide range of complex IT issues.
  • Interprets IT policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Tests and optimizes the functionality of systems, networks and data.
  • Identifies and defines business or technical requirements applied to the design, development, implementation, management and support of systems and networks.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Temporary Duty travel is required approximately 10% of the time requiring employee to travel away from the normal duty station.
  • This position requires the incumbent to hold IA Technical level 3 certification under the DoD Directive and related implementing policies. The Personnel Security Standard of this position if IT level 1 under AR 25
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET eligibility. The IT classification for this position is IT-I. This position is designated as Critical sensitive, T
  • This position is designated as mission essential: in the even of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • Shift work will be required hours on a rotating basis based on operational or mission requirements. Permanent change of shift will be at the determination of the second level supervisor.
  • The incumbent may be on an "oncall" status on a rotational basis.
  • Call back and emergency duty are regular requirements of this position.
  • May be required to carry a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) cellular device.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a USAREUR Driver's License within 60 days of employment.
  • Position requires employee to successfully complete locally identified recurring Information Assurance Security training.
  • This position is DoD M, IAT 3 and requires the applicable Computing Environment certifications. Commercial Computing Environment certifications accepted/obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
